CAL CRUTCHOW MAKES THE GREAT LEAP TO SUPERBIKE
WITH SIDI VORTICE BOOTS
Maser (TV), January 18th, 2010 – A new champion has joined the ranks of Sidi Sport. British pilot Cal Crutchow became the Supersport World Champion in 2009, during his debut in this category, and in 2010 he’ll be hitting the track wearing his Sidi Vortice boots.
Vortice thus confirms itself at the top of the line in the Sidi collection, offering an attractive design matched with all the best technological breakthroughs that maximise performance without compromising the comfort and safety of a rider’s feet. Crutchow recently paid a visit to the Sidi Sport company headquarters in Maser (Treviso), where he was able to meet and mingle with the Sidi staff. But more importantly he got the chance to try on firsthand the Vortice boots that will be his new companions during his upcoming adventure on two wheels.
The 24-year old British ace is one of the most brilliant and promising pilots on the international scene, and in 2010 he will not be defending his Supersport title because he’ll be taking on a more important challenge. In fact, Crutchow will be substituting the American Ben Spies, riding next to his fellow countryman James Toseland on Team Yamaha Sterilgarda. He’ll be facing a daunting task in the Superbike category, the reigning class in the series, as he attempts to make it to the highest steps of the podium wearing the colours for both Yamaha and Sidi Sport, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2010.
