It’s quite simple. Each ABUS lock has an individual key code with which spare keys or matching “keyed alike” locks can be made - even years after purchase. All that matters is that the locks from ABUS have the same type of cylinder installed.

The code card, supplied with every YourPlus lock, “saves” the key code, and can be used—even years after the original purchase—to order spare keys or keyed-alike locks.
